Looking to Sell Your Wyndham Timeshare? Here’s How.

For Wyndham owners, timeshare sales options are plentiful because Wyndham is a highly sought-after timeshare brand with an extensive reach. More than 900,000 Wyndham owners of timeshares or vacation ownership products span the globe and enjoy a diverse selection of vacation programs. If you’re looking to sell your Wyndham timeshare, there is most likely a sizable demand for your property.

It’s Location, Location, Location for Wyndham Owners

There are a number of very popular Wyndham destinations that carry a lot of demand if they become available on the resale market. Some of the most popular locations for Wyndham timeshares include:

  • Florida Wyndham Resorts

  • Wyndham Bonnet Creek

  • Wyndham Resorts in Panama City Beach

  • Wyndham Steamboat Springs

  • Wyndham at the Cottages

Of course, this list only scratches the surface. Wyndham operates more than 230 timeshare resorts that fall under four brands: Club Wyndham, WorldMark by Wyndham, Shell Vacations Club, and Margaritaville Vacation Club.

These brands each offer a different timeshare experience, so if you’re looking to sell your Wyndham timeshare, you need to know exactly what you own.

Club Wyndham operates approximately 100 resort destinations across North America and the Caribbean

WorldMark by Wyndham also operates about 100 resort destinations including Canada, the U.S., Fiji, and Mexico, with a strong emphasis on the western U.S., Florida, and Hawaii.

Shell Vacations Club offers its Wyndham owners access to condo-style vacation ownership resorts and properties in culturally-rich metropolitan areas, mountain communities, and coastal resort cities throughout the western seaboard, Canada, and Mexico.

Finally, Margaritaville Vacation Club offers Wyndham owners a vacation in paradise at any of its five resorts, including Nashville, St. Thomas, Rio Mar, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

These high-demand destinations make it easy for Wyndham owners to pass along their timeshare ownership on the resale market.

Selling Your Wyndham Points

You might own timeshare points for your Wyndham vacation club property, but you may also own timeshare weeks if you purchased your Wyndham timeshare some years ago or on the resale market.

Check your ownership documents and, if applicable, your ownership deed, to know exactly what you own so you can effectively communicate that information to prospective buyers.

If you own points, it may be with a specific type of points program, which can affect the resale process. Wyndham points mainly come under the Club Wyndham Plus program and primarily break down into one of two categories:

  • Club Wyndham Select – points are deeded to a specific home resort

  • Club Wyndham Access – points are not deeded to a resort

For points owners with the Select program, owners usually promote their timeshare by placing their points under their home resort profile, since many buyers will search for a specific resort or destination.

On the Sell a Timeshare advertising platform, Club Wyndham Access points owners have their own profile in our system where they can upload their details.

Because of the automated nature of our system, you need to make sure to place your Wyndham timeshare details under the correct profile to minimize confusion with prospective buyers.

Weeks-to-Points Conversion Programs for Wyndham Owners on the Resale Market

Wyndham owners can convert their timeshare week into points using a conversion program,  but not all weeks-to-points conversions are permanent.

For example, Wyndham also owns timeshare exchange company RCI, and offers the opportunity to convert Wyndham weeks into RCI points. However, RCI points don’t always transfer to the resale market. In this case, your ownership may revert back to weeks once it’s been put up for sale, so you’ll want to check with your resort to see if your RCI points will transfer.

Wyndham also operates Personal Interval Choice Plus, an annual program that allows Wyndham owners to convert weeks into points each year. These conversions are not reflected in the resale market.

For those who may have questions about Wyndham Rewards, remember that Wyndham Rewards is a hotel loyalty program and Rewards points are not timeshare points. While you may have previously converted timeshare points into Rewards points to use at some time in the Wyndham hotel network, this action does not translate to the resale market.

As a Wyndham timeshare owner, you have several options for successfully selling your timeshare on the resale market. We encourage you to simply make sure you know exactly what you own, even if it means contacting your resort or Wyndham directly for verification.
